Chairperson, Board of Governors

The Chairperson provides leadership to the Board of Governors and guides the Board in fulfilling its governance and oversight responsibilities. The Chairperson facilitates effective decision-making, promotes accountability and provides strategic direction for the sustainable growth and development of Langata Technical and Vocational College.

The Chairperson works closely with the College management and stakeholders to support quality, relevant and industry-responsive technical and vocational education.

The Principal serves as the Secretary to the Board of Governors and provides a vital link between the Board and the day-to-day management of Langata Technical and Vocational College.

In this capacity, the Principal supports the effective implementation of Board decisions, facilitates communication between the Board and College management, and provides the Board with relevant institutional reports, information and updates to support informed decision-making.

The Principal also coordinates the implementation of the College's strategic plans, policies and programmes while ensuring that the institution continues to uphold high standards of governance, accountability, quality training and institutional development.
