This course equips trainees with practical skills in vehicle servicing, engine maintenance, automotive electrical systems, braking systems, steering and suspension, and basic vehicle diagnostics. Learners gain competencies in identifying mechanical faults, carrying out routine maintenance, using workshop tools and equipment, and performing basic vehicle repairs while observing workshop safety procedures.
Career opportunities: Automotive technician assistant, vehicle service technician, garage mechanic, automotive electrical assistant, and vehicle maintenance technician.
Entry requirements
Level 4 - Artisan
Any one of:
KCSE mean grade E
a level 3 certificate
an equivalent qualification as determined by the relevant regulatory body.
