Community Health Level 5 develops advanced skills in health promotion, disease prevention, community mobilisation, health education, maternal and child health, nutrition, sanitation, and basic community-based healthcare services. Trainees learn to assess community health needs, support health programmes, and promote healthy practices among individuals and families.
Career Opportunities: Graduates can work as Community Health Assistants, Community Health Officers, Health Promotion Assistants, Community Outreach Workers, or in hospitals, health centres, NGOs, public health programmes, and community-based organisations.
Entry requirements
Level 5 - Craft Certificate
Any one of:
KCSE mean grade D (plain)
completion of a KNQF level 4 certificate or related course
an equivalent qualification as determined by KNQF.
